Getting Started
How do I upload my launch monitor data?▼
Export a CSV file from your launch monitor app (TrackMan, Foresight GCQuad, FlightScope, Garmin Approach, or ShotScope). In the Shaft Fitters app, go to the Fit tab, select 'Import Data', and tap 'Select CSV file'. The app will parse your metrics automatically.
Which launch monitors are compatible?▼
Shaft Fitters works with any launch monitor that can export session data as a CSV. We have verified compatibility with TrackMan 4, Foresight GCQuad, FlightScope X3, Garmin Approach R10, and ShotScope V3. If your device exports CSVs in a different format, use the Manual Entry tab instead.
What metrics does the engine need?▼
For the highest-confidence recommendations, we need: Club Speed, Ball Speed, Launch Angle, Spin Rate, and Carry Distance. Smash Factor and Tempo are optional but improve accuracy. You can enter metrics manually if your launch monitor does not capture all of them.
How is the confidence score calculated?▼
The confidence score (0–100%) reflects how closely your swing profile matches the optimal performance window for a given shaft. It accounts for your speed, spin, launch, and tempo data. A score above 85% is considered an excellent match.
Account & Billing
How do I upgrade or change my plan?▼
Go to Profile → Account → Subscription. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel from there. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the start of the next billing cycle.
Can I get a refund?▼
We offer a full refund within 7 days of your first paid subscription charge if you are not satisfied. After that, all payments are non-refundable. To request a refund within the eligible window, email billing@shaftfitters.com with your account email.
What happens to my data if I cancel?▼
Your fitting history and profile data are retained for 90 days after cancellation in case you decide to return. After 90 days, data is permanently deleted. You can also request immediate deletion from Account Settings.
Is my payment information secure?▼
Yes. All payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. We never store your full card number or CVV on our servers.
Technical
My CSV file won't import — what should I check?▼
Ensure the file is in .csv format (not .xlsx or .xls). Column headers must be in the first row and should include recognisable labels like 'Club Speed', 'Ball Speed', 'Launch Angle', etc. If the import still fails, try the Manual Entry tab and email your CSV to support@shaftfitters.com.
The app crashed or is running slowly — what should I do?▼
First, force-close the app and reopen it. If the problem persists, try uninstalling and reinstalling from the App Store or Google Play. Make sure your OS is up to date. If you continue to experience issues, contact support with your device model and OS version.
How accurate are the shaft recommendations?▼
Our engine is trained on data from thousands of fitting sessions and is independently validated against in-person TrackMan fittings. In testing, 91% of recommendations matched those of a certified club fitter within a one-flex margin. Results depend on the accuracy and consistency of your launch monitor data.
Can I use Shaft Fitters without a launch monitor?▼
Yes — the Manual Entry tab lets you type in your swing metrics by hand. You can obtain rough estimates from a range session with a basic speed radar. The more accurate your inputs, the better your recommendations will be.
